Wanda E. O'Malley, CPA
Accountant
Just like so many of my clients, I embrace the entrepreneur’s passion and spirit to go beyond the norm . . . to build a company that is exceptional in approach and scope.
I opened the doors to my firm in 2006 with a compelling determination to answer the most important needs of new, small and growing businesses. After 16 years with a traditional accounting firm, I wanted to create an accountancy practice that is truly a resource for sound financial guidance for businesses and professional practices.
The hardest thing for accountants is to inform a business owner that they are on the brink of failure – because failure to entrepreneurs means more than a business loss. It’s a demise of a dream.
Perhaps I also resonate with the business owner’s spirit because of my own path. Born in rural Ohio, I was the first in my family to attend college, thanks to a full scholarship. I graduated Magma Cum Laude from the University of Akron with a Bachelor’s in Accounting. I became a CPA in 1989. So, I love a challenge!
My firm is at our best when we are assuring a client that their accounting functions are balanced, bulletproof, air tight, audit-proof and thorough. I thrive on giving our clients the sense of relief that their finances are under control and being taken care of, allowing them to do what they do best – run the business.
Also, I like to help clients build their internal accounting capabilities. When a client is ready, we take the time to train and teach our clients’ staff to correctly handle and maintain the majority of their internal financial functions. We partner with our clients to enable them to ultimately reduce their fees with us and make them stronger entrepreneurs. Then, we handle the important role of monitoring and ensuring accuracy.
My staff and I love watching our clients’ businesses and professional practices grow and develop. We appreciate their trust in us to provide them with guidance on expansion, seeking investor funding and improving profitability.
On the personal side, I’m the proud mom of a daughter who is a high school science teacher and a son who is a doctor of physical therapy who specializes in sports physical therapy. My husband and I enjoy travel. I can be seen from now and then on Arizona lakes in my lime-green kayak. I also relax with yoga and cooking and with our fun black lab Zorro.

I am privileged to work closely with clients and to share in the satisfaction when they are meeting their goals and the business or practice is doing great. Because we meet with our clients on a year-round basis, we get to know each other, giving me the opportunity to learn more about their industry. I enjoy working with small businesses because I work directly with the owners; together we review the numbers and analyze results to make data-driven decisions. I am a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. During my free time, I love hiking many of the beautiful Arizona trails, going to concerts and hanging out with my dog.

I fully resonate with our firm’s motto, “So, how’s business? Do you really know or are you just guessing?” because a business cannot continue to succeed unless owners are fully aware of their financial status on an ongoing basis. By receiving quarterly financial statements, our clients know exactly where they stand and can quickly remedy any changes in the marketplace that are impacting their potential to grow. In addition to working with clients, I also handle some administrative roles in our firm, giving me the opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience. I graduated Cum Laude from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy outdoor activities, cooking and, most importantly, raising my son.
